Highfield Level 3 International First Aid At Work
This qualification is developed to support first aiders in the workplace by providing more comprehensive understanding of first aid along with an understanding of how important medical/environmental intelligence is when dealing with a range of causalities. In line with industry guidance, the qualification supports first aiders for a period of 3 years, at which point learners will need to resit the course. In addition, we recommend that learners refresh their knowledge annually.

Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
Manage a casualty with external bleeding
Manage a casualty who is in shock
Manage a casualty with a minor injury
Conduct a secondary survey
Administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints
Administer First Aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
Administer First Aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries
Administer First Aid to a casualty with burns and scalds
Administer First Aid to a casualty with an eye injury
Administer First Aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
Administer First Aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
Provide First Aid to a casualty with a suspected major illness
Skill Prerequisites
A candidate does not have to possess prior experience in Close Protection.
Must be able to communicate clearly and have a baseline level of English and maths at level 1.
This qualification is approved for delivery to learners aged 18 and over.
Assessment Method
All students will undergo a number of multiple-choice question exams and ongoing Theoretical and Practical Assessments this will be designed to meet your work place
Duration
180 training hours over 14 DAYS
This course may be available as The Blending learning course which reduces the time spent in the class room with the instructors, First part of training is done on-line, Second part is 7 days in person with the instructors.
